I took delivery of my new Paravan PR50 about 4 weeks ago and it has completely changed my life! I had been bed bound for the previous 18 months as the NHS chair I was given was extremely uncomfortable and left me in a lot of pain so could only use it for a couple of hours.
My niece, Eden King has known Matt for years and he recently delivered her new powerchair so she urged me to get in touch and see if he could help with a solution which would provide me with independence and it was the best thing I have done in a very long time! Within a couple of days of contacting Matt, he came to see me with two demonstrator powerchairs to conduct an assessment in full PPE Matt immediately put me at ease and I could tell he not only had a wealth of knowledge but also cared about the client and I did not hesitate in placing an order for a Paravan PR50 which he assured me would be perfect for all my requirements
Just 8 to 9 weeks later Matt arranged delivery and agreed to do this on a Saturday so that my wife would also be present to ask any questions – special thanks to Matt wife Emma for this
All the adjustments were made on the day and Matt went through all the PR50’s features and answered all our questions thoroughly – nothing was too much trouble. Prior to delivery, Matt fitted RAM components for my tablet, phone and camera, cup holder and USB port which has given me the independence to enjoy my hobbies from the comfort of my powerchair.
Four weeks later, I would like to report today I have been out in the garden in my chair for 6 to 7 hours, still feeling refreshed and pain free...what a difference the PR50 has made, not only to my life but also to my wife Lorraine.

When purchasing a replacement powerchair, I always contact Matt at Precision Rehab as he understands my specific requirements and always ensures I get the most suitable powerchair for my needs.
By choice I live alone and do not have a carer and require two powerchairs one for indoor and one for outdoor use.
My indoor chair needs to be compact with a small turning circle to enable me to turn round in my loo/bathroom as my left knee does not fully bend so I cannot make a decision merely on advertisers’ turning-circle statistics. I also need it to rise in height to enable me to reach cupboards indoors and gardening outdoors. Adjusting the height also reduces the angle of my protruding left leg. My latest indoor wheelchair provided by Precision Rehab is a Eurovema flexmobil i6 Comfort which lets me achieve this
I drive a converted Mercedes Vito van with rear powered lift to enable me to access the vehicle in my outdoor powerchair, and a clamp-down mechanism to secure the chair in place during transit. My outdoor chair needs to be robust and crash-tested to comply with regulations. Therefore, my Paravan PR30 outdoor powerchair is the perfect alternative to my previous model. Unfortunately, my PR30 was initially too wide but Matt contacted Paravan and thankfully by replacing the armrest fittings the width has been reduced to an acceptable dimension.
In addition to having to be height adjustable , My PR30 also has a tilt in space feature which I often use as a bed when staying away as some hotel beds are not suitable for me
Matt is extremely proactive, for example, when I need to purchase a replacement powerchair and a model I was interested in has been taken out of production, he keeps me updated on when a similar chair will be available.
When my chairs need servicing or repair, I always contact Precision Rehab. I am aware of the travelling distance and time taken to make the journey to Northampton but Matt is aware of my reliance on my powerchairs and always does his best to keep me mobile, enabling me to continue to live my life as independently, safely and worry-free as possible.

I think I first met Matthew back in 2005 at the Naidex exhibition on the Balder UK stand. I was instantly impressed by his knowledge and understanding of my needs. We arranged a demo at my house the following week and he spent a good couple of hours with the assessment and demonstration. When it came to delivery Matthew was there promptly and didn’t leave until he was confident that I was happy with the chair and everything was in order.
Over the next few years any time I had any issues or queries Matthew was always on the end of the phone including answering my desperate call at 8pm one evening and giving me a temporary work around when the airline broke the chair on a trip to Spain. He was determined to make sure my holiday wasn’t ruined; I could imagine him jumping on a plane to come and sort it out if he hadn’t succeeded.
When Balder merged with Etac Matthew came out again to demo their new chair. There were a few teething problems in the beginning when this product was launched but after I bought one he made sure that things were sorted and would not rest until I was happy.
In my opinion Matthew has always gone above and beyond his duty, being totally committed to his clients and their needs. He genuinely loves his work and you never feel like just another ‘sale’ when you deal with him. His 20 years of experience in this field is evident and I am confident that his new venture will be a success.
