The ibot® Personal Mobility Device (PMD) is a multimodal electric wheelchair designed with accessibility in mind. Known by many as the “stair climbing wheelchair”, the ibot® PMD is more than just a stair climbing machine. With six available modes in one device, the ibot® PMD is built to help make sure you can get where you need to go.

The world isn’t as accessible as it should be, and traditional power wheelchairs have a variety of limitations.

The ibot® PMD was designed to increase accessibility and open up new opportunities for wheelchair users. That’s why the ibot® PMD comes standard with 4-Wheel Mode. In 4-Wheel Mode the ibot® PMD engages four large drive wheels while raising the front casters off the ground to give you the ability to navigate obstacles up to six inches tall and to commute with confidence.
