Colette Scare - Magix 2
Colette Scrace from Surrey recently took delivery of the UK’s first NEW LIVE Magix 2 powerchair from Precision Rehab, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of bespoke powerchairs.
Colette, who works for the NHS as the Lead Nurse for Genomics in England has Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis which affects all her joints, resulting in her being able to stand or walk unaided for short periods of time. For the last 7 years, Colette has been a wheelchair user and has had several powerchairs as she explains:
Hannah Deakin - Paravan PR50
When Hannah Deakin suffered an injury playing netball at the age of 14, she had no idea that her life would change for ever. The initial injury consisted of nerve and internal damage to the foot and ankle, but this developed into Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder which over time spread up her leg and also affected Hannah’s other leg.
Nick Packham - Paravan PR50
Despite being paralysed from the chest down, Nick Packham from Kent is still playing an active role within the Kent Fire Service, thanks to his Paravan PR50 powered wheelchair from Precision Rehab. Back in 2002, Nick was involved in a serious car accident in which his friend was fatally injured and Nick was left with a broken neck at C5.
Kat Pemberton - Paravan PR30
Still only 21, Kat Pemberton from West Yorkshire has forged a successful career as a social media influencer, vlogger and disability activist, as well as making a short film, being an ambassador for Naidex and modelling for Boohoo. Kat has achieved this while also living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 – a rare degenerative, genetically inherited neuromuscular condition.
George Lockley - Paravan Piccolino
8-year-old George Lockley from Welwyn Garden City enjoys living life to the full and this is partly thanks to his Piccolino Paravan powered wheelchair from Precision Rehab. George (who has a twin brother Harry) and a younger sister Abby, was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2.
Marni Smyth - Paravan PR30
24-year-old Marni Smyth from Huddersfield is dreaming of a successful career in the fashion and textile industry thanks in part to her Paravan Piccolino powerchair from Precision Rehab. Marni was born with Type 2 Spinal Muscular Atrophy and has been using powered wheelchairs from the age of 3.

Andy Luntley - Paravan PR30 with specialist seating
14-year-old Andie from Leicestershire was born with Rett Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that affects brain development, resulting in severe levels of mental and physical disability. It is estimated to affect about 1 in 12,000 girls born each year and is only rarely seen in boys.
