Precision Rehab Limited – A newly founded company with staff that have over 20 years experience in specialist powered wheelchairs are pleased to announce that they have agreed to be an official supplier of Paravan powered wheelchairs for the UK and Ireland.
Precision Rehab Limited will supply the Paravan wheelchairs on a direct sales basis and throughout the UK and Ireland on an authorised dealer basis, this will ensure a high standard of assessment, sales process, after sales care including service and repair coverage.
Matthew James the founder of Precision Rehab Limited decided to start the company due to the lack of specialist powered wheelchairs in the market place. Matthew has worked with both the Balder and Etac range of powered wheelchairs for 20 years and following the announcement that this range of chairs would no longer be manufactured started to research the worldwide market for specialist powered wheelchairs. This lead him to Paravan a German based manufacture and developer who also wanted to open up into the UK market. Matthew added that following productive meetings with Paravan and the impressive facilities at the factory it was the perfect solution for both Paravan and Precision Rehab.

About Paravan GmbH:
Roland Arnold, founder of PARAVAN, has been developing new, innovative products for the mobility of disabled people since 1998. The one-man business was transformed into a private limited company in 2005 – and has continued to grow ever since. PARAVAN is characterised by a high degree of innovativeness, documented by 53 renowned state and innovation awards for entrepreneurial achievements. Around 140 employees currently develop and produce products adapted to the individual needs of the disabled people, as vehicle conversions, electric wheelchairs, movement trainers, seat collections, ramp systems, wheelchair boarding aids and hand controls through to the world’s first road-legal drive-by-wire system with active servomotor redundancy, a joystick steering system with multiple safety functions. The objective of all the products and services is to help disabled people to participate in working life and enjoy a social life without having to depend on outside help. Based on the vehicle technology for disabled people, the unique drive-by-wire system SPACE DRIVE II has been developed for the flexible use of safety-relevant industrial applications. This system also forms the basis for autonomous driving.
Paravan GmbH is not only the global technological leader in this segment – it also sees itself as an inspiration for disabled people or people with age-related restricted mobility, and has set itself the objective of increasing the quality of life of these people. The supporting pillar of this quest for innovation is the priority of “social inclusion” as ratified as a component of the UN Convention of the Rights of People with Disabilities.
With 51%, the Würth Group has been a majority shareholder of PARAVAN GmbH since 2015.
